Writer's Workshop - Travel

Today's inspiration is prompt #1 in Mama Kat's Writer's Workshop:
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

I'm not sure I can pick just one dream place to travel to. I can think of a few places around the world I would like to visit, if I had the opportunity to. Biggest dream - the island of Capri, and the Blue Grotto. There's such a romance about it. I'd love to see that breathtaking blue water for myself, and imagine it as the home of nymphs and sirens.

And as long as I'm travelling, I'd like to stop by Venice. Check this quote out.

Well I'm already a big ole softie romantic! I might fall in love with the city and never want to leave! The beautiful architecture and the feel of the history of the place... The canals and gondolas... I'm sure my imagination can't half-capture it.


One more stop in Italy. I'd have to visit St Peter's Basilica in Rome. My personal spiritual pilgrimage.


I'd like to tour the Netherlands (thanks to Sonya), and Greece, and Switzerland, but even on this virtual journey I'm being tugged back home. I couldn't do this Moxie-Mona-solo style. My brats would have to come with. I'd be dying to know what Mr. Engineer thought of when he saw the windmill where they actually grind and sell the flour. And what romantic Venice brings out of the little Philosopher. The little princess is too little to tell me her thoughts yet, but her smiles and cheeks and lit-up eyes are sure to figure high on the lasting memories I take away. And I wouldn't have it any other way...
